‘BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE’ ACOUSTIC

Suns of July gave an acoustic performance of ‘Beautiful You Are’ at Toronto’s Yorkview Public School this past November when Toronto’s School Boards recognize Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week (Nov. 17^th – 23^rd). The school’s music teacher, Hayley Ruskin, was provided with a mix of the track and the sheet music and the result was a moving performance of the song with the school’s choir positioned on risers behind the Kosta, Anastazio and Colonel. The kids energetically sang the choruses to the delight of the students, faculty and parents in attendance.

THE BAND

Combining melodic guitar riffs with synth-laden and infectious bass and drum grooves, the Suns of July sound is both anthemic and eccentric. By way of Toronto, the trio brings the restless energy and societal issues of the “big city” to the forefront through its fusion of musical influences from both the 80s and 90s eras along with the sounds of today. Their latest single, ‘Beautiful You Are’, can be found on YouTube now as well as on all music streaming services. The full album will be released on May 19,2021.
